From the west the A35 brings you to Dorchester. Take A352 to Wareham then on to Corfe Castle, follow signs to Swanage. There is no major North/South route so suggest you head for Blandford Forum and take A350 to Upton then A351 to Wareham and onto Swanage

Once in the town head for the pier on the southern side of the bay. The Pier entrance is right next to the sailing Club entrance.
If your'e coming by sea there are a limited number of moorings for keel boats. The bay is safe to anchor in all but Easterly winds. If you cannot see any fishing boats anchored near the pier it is a good bet there is a blow coming. Beware of the tidal races over Peveril ledges and Old Harry Rocks. These tend to keep Swanage lifeboat quite busy for the less wary.
