Adult Sailing Training for Club Members

The programme

The Club will run dinghy sailing classes every Tuesday evening from 14th April to 1st September.

• 14th and 21st April will be theory evenings
• 28th April to 30th June will be RYA on-water training
• 7th July to 1st September will be on the water Club training, in which we continue to train with instructors and rescue cover but not in an official RYA format

Rigging from 17:30, on the water by 18:30. Finish around 20:00. Even if the weather is not suitable we will always run training, plus bar & food. (Training indoors if bad weather).

Club boats will be available and allocated on the night by trainers, to meet the needs of the planned training. Safety duty will be fulfilled on a rota basis with all trainees participating, this will be an expectation of the training.

Please note that Club boats can only be used if you have joined the Club Boat Hire Scheme. If you have not yet joined this, please contact sscwebman@gmail.com.

Booking a place on Adult Training

All trainees, instructors and other volunteers must book through the club web site. Booking closes on the Sunday evening before the Tuesday session

You will need be logged in and then click on "Bookings / Tuesday Adult Training" from the dropdown menu on the Home page. From this page you can book in, and book a meal. Please indicate your requirement for a club boat or if you will be using your own boat at this time.

Trainee sailors are expected to do at least 2 safety duties, as well as their bar and galley duties. Book your duties on the Members portal
